Reason: Most of Shia communities are run and managed by volunteers. The funds are un-predictable and not enough to meet the running costs of the institution. Since communities are dispersed, thus the individual talent can not be brought to advantage of the community.
Internet presence for Shia communities is vital. Getting a professional approach on a website could be very expense. Even if one could afford it; it yet requires daily attention in content management. The scarcity of resource, skill and time in content management makes it even harder to abode good contents in a community website.
Objectives: To provide all member Shia communities with free of cost hosting with free access to state of the art software tools and common databases; so that they do not have to employ into hassle of web development and content management, and yet provide them with their own identity.
Target Community & Costs: JISC programme allows Shia Masaajid, Imam Bargahs, Idaras, Houzas, schools, and Centres etc. to utilize www.momineen.com common libraries, databases, dynamic calendars and tens of other online tools free of cost. This programme is charity based with no obligation. On demand special development may carry some costs, and no hidden profits.
